Use
In this Customizing activity, you define social insurance (SI) specification settings.
In Belgium, these settings define the SI contract type to which an employee belongs. The system uses this data for SI calculations, and for quarterly SI declarations. The setting is used to calculate the SI and tax contributions of an employee.
An employee specification is represented by a code in the Social Insurance (0100) infotype record.
Standard settings
Valid entries are stipulated by the Belgian social insurance authorities.
In the system, valid employee specification values are listed in the SI Specifications Employees (B) ( V_T5B03) customizing view.
For all persons assigned the normal (00) employee specification code, the system applies the same rules to calculate SI contributions and taxes.
However, a person (for example, a director) can be declared as an administrator to the SI and tax authorities. In this case, the system applies a different handling of the SI calculation and applies other scales for tax calculations.
Recommendation
In most cases, employee specification values can only be modified if Belgian SI regulations change. In these cases, you update the values accordingly.
Activities
You can delete any values not used in your company.
This will provide you with an accurate validity check.
