Use

In this Customizing activity, you define settings for employees' social insurance categories. This category divides the employees of a company into groups of similar social insurance (SI) properties. This division is used to make statistical totals for SI reporting purposes.

Only some combinations of employee SI categories and Employer SI categories are valid.

For tables that combine the Employer category and Employee category keys, a blank value for the employee category means that the specified rates are valid for all employee categories within the employer's category.

Requirements

The Belgian net pay supports the following categories (type 1) and their legal requirements, as follows:

  • 015 Workers standard category (level 3 to 9)
  • 027 Workers & plac.students, level 3-9
  • 482 Sal.employees & plac.students, SF CPNAE
  • 487 Sal.EEs & plac.students, no CPNAE & 201
  • 491 Sal.EEs with contrib. soc.fund nat. PC
  • 495 Employees not submitted to CPNAE & 201

Standard settings

The standard system contains all categories predefined by the SI authorities.

Recommendation

In most cases, SI employee categories only be modified if the SI regulations change. In these cases, you update the values accordingly.

Activities

You can delete the categories not used in the company. This will provide you with an accurate validity check.

To delete an entry, proceed as follows:

  • Delete the entry from the Usage for SI-category employee table
  • Delete the entry from the SI-categories employees table

To define a new entry, proceed in reverse order, as follows:

  • Define the employee SI category
  • Define the usage of the employee SI category
  • For each combination of person groups/ subgroups in your company, define the default employee SI categories to be used in the Social Insurance (0100) infotype
  • Specify the same default values in the Default Worker Code (Employee Category) (RSZKN) feature
