In this Customizing actvity, you define a list of valid professions.
The profession of the employee's partner is necessary for Belgian social insurance (SI) and tax reporting purposes.
Each statutory professional category is therefore assigned a unique identifier (ID).
Example
Valid professions include the following:
- 1 Manual worker
- 2 Domestic
- 3 Salaried employee
- 4 Self-employed person
- 5 Miner
- 6 Seaman
- 7 Civil servant
- 8 Other
- 9 None
Requirements
Standard settings
Valid professions are defined in the Spouse's Profession (B) (V_T5B12) Customizing view.
Recommendation
This field may be mandatory if an integrated or external payroll is used.
Activities
The list of professions should only be changed if there are statutory changes to social insurance (SI) or Belcotax regulations.
