In this step you specify the wage type properties.
These properties refer to the wage types entry and not to the behavior within the SAP payroll accounting.
Example
You can specify $1000 and $10 as the maximum and minimum amounts of a wage type.
The maximum number for a wage type can be 100 and the minimum 1.
In any specific wage type you must enter the amount.
Specific wage types must be valuated indirectly.
Requirements
Before performing this step, you must define wage types. To do this, see the instructions in Create wage types using wage types catalogs and Create wage types using prototypes, in the section Personnel administration-> Personnel administration-> Payroll data-> Wage type -> Create wage types using wage types catalogs/Create wage types using prototypes.
Standard settings
Wage types that you copy from the SAP sample "inherit" the properties of the SAP sample wage types.
Recommendation
If you intend using the SAP payroll accounting, specify in advance the functional reach. If you do not do this, you may create wage types that have already been created by the payroll accounting.
Activities
In this step you can change the wage types to the needs of your company. To do this:
- Specify the countries grouping for the wage types that you wish to process.
- Position the cursor on a wage type and prompt a view of the detail.
- Enter the validity period of the entries.
- Place entries in the corresponding fields in accordance with the properties that your wage types require.
- Save your entries.
Further notes
You only need to specify wage types that can be entered in the infotypes. You do not need to define selected wage types created during the course of the payroll accounting.
