Maintain Dependant-Relevant Data for Provider Report RPUFBN71 (FLEX)
Use
In this step, you maintain data for the Provider Report for Flexible Benefits (GB) (RPUFBN71) as follows:
- The indicator Cover Employee is read by report RPUFBN71. Set this indicator when the employee is included in the insurance plan you are maintaining. Other family members included in the plan will be read by the report from the infotype Family Member/Dependant (0021) record, depending on your settings for report RPUFBN71.
- Using the four Family Member fields, maintain all data related to dependants of employees who are included in your selected insurance plan. You use these four fields to specify which type of family member is covered within the insurance plan you have selected.
By maintaining the dependant-relevant data in this step, you ensure that the Provider Report for Flexible Benefits (GB) (RPUFBN71) contains all necessary data to allow the insurance provider to assign insurance cover to all dependants that the employee has selected for coverage during enrolment.
Note:
For all employees enroled in a specified life insurance plan, report RPUFBN71 produces a list containing all employees and/or dependant family members enroled under this life insurance plan.
Before submitting the output of report RPUFBN71 to the insurance provider concerned, the Flexible Benefits Administrator should manually check the report data against each employee's existing dependant-related personnel data. He or she should also check that each employee's insurance plan options meet the benefits policy of your organisation, before submitting the final data to the provider. (The administrator is able, if required, to extract data into an excel-sheet format to submit to the provider.)
If you do not run report RPUFBN71, you do not need to maintain the data as described above. However, not running this report means that the responsible Benefits Administrator will have to perform these tasks manually.
Activities
- Execute this IMG activity
- Select your required benefit area and benefit plan when prompted and confirm your selections.
- Select the relevant insurance plan option you wish to maintain.
This will lead you to a customising view for the selected insurance plan option.
- Set the indicator Cover Employee when the employee is included in the insurance plan you are maintaining.
- Maintain the four Family Member fields to specify which type of family member is covered within the insurance plan you have selected. You use the F4 input help to select the appropriate code for the family member you wish to maintain in this field. For example, select 01 if you wish to include the employee's spouse, and 02 for an employee's child. (The codes 01, 02 and so on, relate to subtypes of infotype 0021).
Not all four fields must be filled. However, you can maintain a maximum of four family member types only. Normally, the family member types maintained are spouse and children.
- Save your entries.
Example
Your organisation offers a life insurance plan with four possible options:
- Employee only
- Employee plus spouse
- Employee plus family
- Family only
You maintain these differing options in this IMG step as follows:
- Option 1: Set the indicator Cover Employee only.
- Option 2: Set the indicator Cover Employee and enter 01 in the first Family Member field.
- Option 3 : Set the indicator Cover Employee and enter 01 in the first Family Member field, and 02 in subsequent fields, per child covered.
- Option 4: Do not set the indicator Cover Employee. Enter 01 in the first Family Member field, and 02 in subsequent fields, per child covered.
