This is a feature used to determine the seniority of an employee. This calculation is necessary to determine the percentage contribution of the employee and employer towards provident fund.

Seniority is determined by calculating the number of days of service from the date set up in Infotype Date Specifications (0041). This date determines the starting point from whcih an employee's length of sevice is calculated. You can set up this feature according to your company's requirement to fix a hiring date for an employee.

Requirements

The date set up in Date Specifications (0041) infotype should be used in the feature. If you do not set up the feature, or the value in the feature is unavailable in the infotype, then the program assumes the default hiring date.
