The rule SURG can be used to customise the utilisation factor that is used in the vacation money calculation .
In the model it is customised so that it contains the hours of the working week of intotype 0007 for the workers. To calculate the utilisation factor the hours are divided by the 'normal' working week (the constant ARBEA in Table T511K) of the company.
Some companies says that inspite the fact that the employee works less than the 'normal' working week, you would like to have the utilisation factor for a full time employed employee. This is then connected to the period work schedule of the employee.
Example
In your company you have the 'normal' working week of 40 hours. For youremployee you would like to have the utilisation factor for calculating vacation money that is based on the hours in infotype 0007. For this person this is 38 hours. This would give a utilisation factor or 95% (38/40). In this case do nothing, use the model customising.
In your company inspite the fact that the employee works 38 hours a week, he should be considered as a full time employee with a utilisation factor of 1,00 (100%). Then you customise the rule with parameter VSHIF (RTE= VSHIF) and customise each period work schedule in table T5S1C with the correct number of hours giving the util. factor 1,00. For our employee with period work schedule SHIF put 40 hours (40/40 = 1,00)
