In this step, you can create additional secondary wage types if you have enterprise-specific requirements that are not met by the secondary wage types supplied in the standard system. To do this, you use the wage type copier to copy SAP model wage types to the customer name space. You then adjust the copied wage types to meet your requirements.

The following name space is available for your customer secondary wage types:

  • /090-/099 Valuation bases
  • /180-/196 Cumulations
  • /227-/232 Averages

Activities

  1. In the dialog box Wage type maintenance choose the action Copy.

    The Copy wage types screen appears.

    • The indicator Test run is selected. We advise you to perform a test run first. To implement the wage type copier productively, remove the indicator Test run.
    • Model wage types are displayed in the original wage type field. You must copy these to your customer name space.

      Only use the customer name space for your customer wage types. Do not copy any wage types to the SAP name space.
  2. In the Customizing Wage Type field, enter the customer wage type name for your new wage type and choose Continue.
  3. Adjust the long and short text of the customer wage type to your requirements.
  4. To edit the short and long text of the customer wage type in languages other than your logon language, proceed as follows:
    1. Select the wage type and choose Other languages.
      2. The dialog box Maintain wage type texts in other languages appears. Here the wage type texts are displayed in all existing languages. The logon language is selected. You have the following options:

  • You can change the wage type texts to another language
  • You can add wage type texts in additional languages. To do this, enter the new language and the wage type texts in this language.
  1. Choose Apply.

  1. Select all wage types you want to copy and choose Copy.

    You receive a list of the copied wage types in which the changes to all affected tables are logged.

Copying one sample wage type to multiple user wage types

If you wish to use one sample wage type to create a number of user wage types, you should proceed as follows:

Before selecting Copy wage types,

  1. Select Wage types to be copied
  2. Enter the sample wage type and the names of the wage types to which it is to be copied
  3. Select Copy wage types
  4. Activate Copy pre-selected wage types.

In this way, the selection of the wage types to be copied and the names of the new wage types is transferred to the report which copies them.
