In this IMG activity, you determine how to create time wage types for TIP entries.

You have specified the rules to be checked in the Time wage type selection rule group and the Day grouping. These rules are checked according to the sequence of the sequential numbers.

The check starting point is the TIP entry processing type. The remaining conditions are essentially split up into three groups:

  • Conditions regarding the day:
Here you specify the conditions for wage type generation according to the day, the public holiday class, the daily work schedule class, the day type, and so on.
  • Conditions regarding time:
Here you can indicate whether you want the search for additional rules to be interrupted if the current rule is the appropriate. In addition, if the rule is applicable, you can generate the wage type with a fixed value regardless of the duration of the TIP entry.

Example

  • Wage type MM10 (25% overtime) should be generated for processing type Overtime (M). The wage type should be generated if the overtime was done on a workday and the current day is not a public holiday.
  • If the employee worked more than two (2) overtime hours, the wage type MM10 (Overtime 25%) should be generated for the first 2 hours. For the remaining hours, the wage type MM20 (Overtime 50%) should be generated.

Requirements

You must first define the wage types that you want to select.

Standard settings

The standard system contains sample entries.

Recommendation

Count the sequential rule number in increments of 10. In this way, it is easy to add further rules at a later stage.

Activities

In the Define generation specifications activity, you specify the rules for time wage type selection:

  1. Decide which time wage type selection rule group you want this rule to apply to. Enter the group in the Time wage type selection rule group field.
  2. The time wage type selection rules can vary according to the day grouping. Decide for which day groupings you want to create your own rules and enter the grouping numbers in the Day grouping field.
  3. There can be several rules for each of the two above groups to check. Enter the sequential number of the rule in the Infotype record number field.
  4. Decide from which processing types the wage type is to be generated. Enter the wage type in the Wage type field, and the processing types from which this wage type is to be generated in the Valid processing types fields.
  5. Decide for which weekdays you want to generate this wage type. Enter a a checkmark in the Weekdays field for each day of the week: "1" for Monday, "2" for Tuesday, and so on.
  6. Decide which public holiday class must apply on the previous, current and subsequent days for this wage type to be generated.
  7. Decide for which of the period work schedule and daily work schedule classes you want to generate the wage type.
  8. Decide for which day type this wage type may be generated. Indicate the valid day types in the D.type field.
  9. Decide whether the wage type should only be generated if the TIP entry lies within a particular time interval. Enter the time interval under Time conditions in the Start and End fields.
  10. Decide whether you only want to generate this wage type if the processing type contains a certain number of hours. Enter the value in the Lower limit field. If the lower limit corresponds to the number of planned hours per day, enter "S" in the Symb. field.
  11. Consider whether you only want to generate this wage type for the first hours of a certain processing type.

Enter the value in the Upper limit field. Instead of a certain number of hours, you can enter a symbol. If the upper limit corresponds to the number of planned hours per day, enter an "S" in the Symb. field, if the lower limit corresponds to the planned hours per day, enter a "T," if the planned hours per day corresponds to 100% employment percentage, a "U," if the average working hours per day should correspond to the work schedule rule.

  1. If you have defined an upper or lower limit, you can specify processing types for the total of which the condition should be checked. Enter these processing types in the Count PTypes.
  2. If you have defined an upper and lower limit as well as a time interval, you can determine whether the condition should only apply to time pairs which lie in this specific interval. In this case, activate the Interval field.
  3. If a TIP entry is between clock-in and clock-out time, it is possible to generate the wage type with a fixed value, that is independently of the duration of the time pair. Enter the requested value in the Fixed value field.
  4. If the rule is met for a TIP entry, you can stop processing the rule, and start processing the next rule in the time wage type selection. To do so, mark the Exit rule field.

If the rule is met for a TIP entry, you can also exit time wage selection. To do so, mark the Exit time wage type selection field.

Further notes

  • The fields in the "Conditions for time" section are optional.
  • If you entered values in the Lower limit or Upper limit fields, but made no entry in the Count PTypes field, then each processing type specified when function GWT in parameter 2 is called is taken into consideration.
