In this step, you set up taxable gross and tax deduction wage types carried over from a previous employer in the current tax year.
These wage types are assigned to the employee in the Additional Payments infotype (0015). The payroll program processes the entries in end-of-year adjustment calculations.
Example
You want to set up a wage type so that it is processed as previous employer tax by the payroll program.
Requirements
Do not configure previous employer wage types to cumulate into taxable gross and total gross payments. The payroll program performs this task automatically, and any changes to the configuration will trigger serious errors when end-of-year tax adjustments are calculated.
Standard settings
The standard system contains model wage types configured for previous employer taxable gross and tax deduction.
Activities
To set up previous employer wage types, you:
- Flag a wage type, and choose Goto -> Details.
- Enter a specification against the relevant processing class.
- If required, flag the relevant cumulation.
