In this step, you cumulate your wage types into taxable gross wage types. During payroll, only the taxable gross wage types are included in tax calculations.
Example
The following wage types constitute an employee's gross salary. You want to cumulate these wage types into total gross and taxable gross.
Wage Type Total Gross Taxable Gross
Weekly Salary X X
Overtime 125% X X
Rice Allowance X
The total gross comprises the employee's weekly salary, overtime and a rice allowance. The taxable gross only comprises the employee's weekly salary and overtime.
Standard settings
The standard system contains model entries for taxable and non-taxable wage types.
Activities
To cumulate wage types into taxable gross wage types, you:
- Flag a wage type, and choose Goto -> Details.
- Enter a specification against the relevant processing class.
- Flag the relevant cumulation.
- Enter a value against the relevant evaluation class.
