In this step, you define how often in the calendar month HDMF contributions are calculated. The frequency of the calculations is determined according to payroll area.
Example
For employees belonging to a payroll area with weekly payroll runs, you want HDMF contributions to be calculated in the last payroll period of the calendar month. To do this, you must enter the relevant payroll area and enter Y (for Yes) against the payroll period weekly.
For employees belonging to the remaining payroll areas, you want HDMF contributions to be calculated every payroll run. To do this, you must enter the relevant payroll areas and enter N (for No) against the other payroll periods.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains model entries that you can use to set up the contributions frequency.
The system automatically derives the payroll periods from settings previously configured in the Payroll Organization section of the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Payroll Philippines.
If you enter N (No) against a payroll period (for example, weekly), this means that the HDMF contribution will be calculated in every payroll period.
If you enter Y (Yes) against a payroll period, this means that the contribution will only be calculated in the last payroll period of the calendar month.
If you have one or several payroll areas for which contributions are calculated in the last payroll run of the month (indicator set to Y), you must set the indicator for the remaining payroll areas to N.
