In this menu option, you define reduction formulae for wage types that are entered via the Basic Pay (0008) or Recurring Payments/ Deductions (0014) infotypes.
Since wage types from the infotype 0008 Basic Pay are created for each partial period in case of changes in the infotypes 0001 Organizational Assignment or 0008 Basic Pay, that are not made at the beginning of a period, these wage types must be reduced by factors which are created from partial period view.
Wage types from infotype 0014 Recurring Payments/Deductions, on the other hand, are set up only once per period. Therefore, only reduction factors from total period view can be used for these wage types.
Default Settings
The standard SAP R/3 System contains the following formula for the reduction exact for partial periods of wage type for basic pay:
- Factor =
Planned working time (partial period) - unpaid absence (partial period)
divided by
Period working hours according to work schedule
For the reduction of wage types, that are entered via the infotypes Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014), two formulae are contained in the standard system.
- Factor =
Planned working time (total period) - unpaid absence (total period)
divided by
Period working hours according to work schedule
- Factor = 0, if no paid attendance hour exists or
Factor = 1 (thus no reduction), if at least one paid hour exists in the payroll accounting period

- Copy the standard personnel calculation rule MPP0 to ZPP0.
- Copy the standard personnel calculation rule MPP1 to ZPP1.
- Copy the standard personnel calculation rule MPP1 to ZPP2.
- Copy the standard personnel calculation rule MPP1 to ZPP3.
- Copy the standard personnel calculation rule MPP1 to ZPP1.
- Change the reduction formulae in the personnel calculation rule ZPP1 to meet your requirements.
- Change the name of the personnel calculation rule in MPPF from XPP0 to ZPP0.
- Change the name of the personnel calculation rule in MPP0 from XPP1 to ZPP1.
- Change the call in schema MAL0 from MPPF to ZPPF.
Note
- If you do not need any changes in the standard formulas, skip the above actions.
- There is detailed information on factoring in the payroll manual.
