In this step, you will assign a tax form for residence payment to the residence tax branch office.

You have to perform this step if the branch office uses the service of a residence tax service bank to have the residence tax paid to the local tax offices. The tax form defines the format of the data carrier that is to be submitted to that bank.

In addition, you will identify the financial institution by its house bank identifier.

Requirements

You must have the residence tax branch office, the tax form, and the house bank identifier set up before you process this step.

Standard settings

There are four predefined tax forms in the standard system that can be used when the branch office has the tax payment service done by one of the following banks:

    Daiichi Kangyo Bank        RES_TAX_DAIICHI

    Fuji Bank            RES_TAX_FUJI

    Sakura Bank            RES_TAX_SAKURA

    Sanwa Bank            RES_TAX_SANWA

Recommendation

Use the tax form in the standard system if you have residence tax payments done by one of these financial institutions.

Activities

  1. Check which house bank is performing the tax payment service for each residence tax branch office.
  2. Check which tax form has to be used for the submission of a data carrier to that bank. If necessary, create an appropriate one by processing the steps described in Tax forms.

Further notes

  1. A branch office for residence tax can be set up by following the description given in Residence Tax.
  2. Normally it belongs to the tasks of the Financial Accounting department to set up the house banks. Please work through the instructions in the step entitled Set up house banks.
  3. When setting up the house bank, enter the company number field on the DME-data maintenance screen.
