In this step, you determine how overtime wage types are compensated.
Example
You want employees to be compensated as follows if they work overtime: time in lieu of basic wage, plus an overtime bonus.
Requirments
- Wage types for overtime are defined.
Reference: "Create wage types"
- You have generated wage types for overtime using function GWT.
Reference: "Generate wage types"
Standard settings
The value of the overtime compensation type in infotype 2005, Overtime, determines how employees are compensated for overtime. The standard specifications are as follows:
- 1: Remuneration (basic wage plus overtime bonus)
- 2: Time in lieu of basic wage, plus overtime bonus
- 3: Compensation (time off in lieu)
- 4: Compensation (one compensataly day off, plus overtime bonus
if worked hours is more than planed work hours for
one day)
Recommendations
It is not necessary to customize the schema in order to use the above overtime compensation types: just specify the compensation key in infotype 2005, Overtime.
Activities
- Decide whether you require additional overtime compensation types, and define them accordingly.
- If you define new overtime compensation types, set the rules according to which the overtime is to be compensated. Copy personnel calculation rule TC00 to ZC00, and make any necessary changes in the copied version.
- In ZC00, change the name of the personnel calculation rule which is called for processing by function POVT.
Further notes
Note that function POVT must be active in the schema. Overtime compensation cannot be performed without this function.
Do not deactivate function CUMBT, otherwise the wage types generated in the schema will not be passed on.
