In this step, you can specify a calculation pattern of service year in the cycle JRNR : Retirement tax for Non-Residents. Service year calculation is done by the Time Period Evaluation function module automatically. But you must specify which calculation pattern has to be used for income tax calculation for retirement allowance. The calculated service year is used to look up table where tax deduction amount is specified for service year.
Example
Service year for retirement allowance should include the period between hiring data and retiring data and should exclude the period where employee's status is inactive.
Requirements
You must first define time period calculation pattern which are to be used. For defining time pattern, please refer to the section Evaluation of time period of Personal Administration Implementation Guide.
Standard settings
SAP's sample time period calculation pattern for retirement allowance JPRT is defined and set to the cycle JRNR.
Recommendation
Please be sure to check which time period calculation pattern to be used and how the calculation rules are define for that pattern.
Activities
Check the sample settingin the cycle JRNR and change the part where time period calculation pattern is specified.
