In this step, you can check a special wagetype necessary for processing retirement liquidation. If the retiring employee is a flextime worker, this wagetype must be entered into infotype 2010 employee remuneration information for the payroll accounting period of the retiring month. Usually the flextime balance is carry over to next month up tothe upper limit .However, for the retiring employee flextime balance should not be carried forward to next month and it should be paid in retirement liquidation. The following wagetype is used for the retirement liquidation process.

note) Upper limit of carry over next month for flextime balance is 10h in standard.

Note

When the above-mentioned wagetype is customized or copied to user wagetypes, the influence is exerted on the payroll accounting processing. The reason for it is that the standard wagetypes are specified on the cycle in the payroll accounting process. If you customize or create user wagetype by copying standard wagetype, youshould also customize/adjust related cycles and schema (JT00:Processing of Time Data for Payroll Accounting - JAPAN). Relation between standard wagetypes and cycles are listed below.

    • Cycle J14A:Importing previous month's time WT (JAPAN)
    • Cycle J162:Subtract flextime balance(+ or -) from basic pay basis II
    • Cycle J163:Pay carry-over hours
    • Cycle J16A:Liquidate Flex balance for Retirement

Activities

  1. Check the specifications of above-mentioned standard wagetypes.
  2. Copy the above-mentioned standard wagetype to user wagetype if necessary.
  3. Copy the standard cycle which is to be customized/adjusted (J14A to Z14A, J162 to Z162, J163 to Z163 and J16A to Z16A ). Then customize/adjust each cycle influenced by customizing the above-mentioned wagetypes.
  4. Then customize schema JT00 influenced by customizing the above-mentioned cycles by deactivate corresponding standard cycles and insert user cycles.
