This step explains how you can set up Payroll Accounting for a claim handling.

The upper limit for a claim can be set in the following three ways:

  • Specify only the upper limit amount for claim.

    If a claim amount exceeds the upper limit amount, payroll accounting for an enployee is rejected.

  • Specify only the upper limit percentage relative to the amount of basic pay

    If a claim amount exceeds the upper limit percentage, payroll accounting for an enployee is rejected.

  • Specify both the upper limit amount and percentage

    If a claim amount exceeds either the upper limit amount or percentage, payroll accounting for an enployee is rejected.

Note

You only have to work through this step if you intend to set up upper limit for claim handling.

Example

The upper limit for a claim is specified only by the cliam amount. The upper limit amount should be set at 50,000 YEN and the upper limit percentage should be set at 0.

The upper limit for a claim is specified only by the percentage. The upper limit percentage should be set at 20% and the upper limit amount should be to at 0.

The upper limit for a claim is specified both by the amount and percentage. The upper limit amount should be set at 50,000 YEN and the upper limit percentage should be set at 20%.

Standard settings

The SAP standard delivery system contains sample entries for following stnadard constants for specifying upper limits for a claim:

  • CLAIM upper limit amount
  • CLAIM upper limit percentage relative to the amount of basic pay

Activities

To check and, if necessary, change the value of constant, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the constant to be set.
  2. Check the specification of the constant and carry out to appropriate change in accordance to your requirements.
