In this section, you define the charcteristics of wage types relevant to benefit miscellaneous plans.
Example
You want to round up the amount of the employer contribution for a certain benefit plan when it is calculated according to the rules set up in the benefit plan.
Requirements
You have set up the wage type catalog in the previous step.
Standard settings
The standard system contains several model wage types that you copied to your wage type area. Your wage types have inherited the characteristics of the model wage types.
Recommendation
Keep close to the settings of the SAP model wage type. Apart from rounding, do not change other indirect valuation characteristics of the benefit wage type.
Activities
- Define the validity period of the wage type characteristics.
- Define the Rounding type and Rounding divisor.
Further notes
For the wage types relevant to the Benefits module this table has to be maintained in a different way as compared to the wage types maintained in the Personnel Administration part of the Implementation Guide:
For benefit plan payments and deductions only the fields Rounding type and Rounding divisor are evaluated in the benefits module. The settings in all the other fields thus do not have to be filled, except for the mandatory ones.
For the wage type representing the benefit salary only the input fields for indirect valuation are relevant.
