Use
Use this activity to define personnel subareas through which the data relating to your company numbers is reported. You can use the Company Data Maintenance # Data for Company Office subapplication to do so.

Activities
Summarize the personal areas/subareas in such a way that for every company number, a personnel area/subarea is defined for the company data maintenance.
Select No Summary if every personnel area/subarea is assigned to another company number to be reported. It is then necessary for you to maintain the data relating to the company number for every personal area/subarea in the activity Enter Data for the Personnel Area Reporting.
Select Direct Summary if the same company number is assigned to several personnel areas/subareas. The summary must then be defined in the next activity.
If you want to carry out the summary using a feature, create a feature with the structure PME0B.
Example
You have the three personal area/subareas DE01/0001, DE01/0002 and DE01/0003.
The personnel areas DE01/0001 and DE01/0002 are assigned to the company number 47110000.
The personnel areas DE01/0003 and DE01/0004 are assigned to the company number 47120000.
Summarize the operating numbers DE01/0001 and DE01/0002 into a personnel area reporting for the company number 47110000 and the personnel area/subareas DE01/0003 and DE01/0004 to a personnel area reporting for the company number 47120000, and maintain the data relating to the respective personnel area reporting in the following activities.
