In this step, you assign your personnel areas and personnel subareas to a company that constitutes an independent entity in the legal sense. One consequence of an employee changing company is that separate wage statements are created.
Example
You have four personnel areas in two companies that constitute independent entities in the legal sense. If the first three personnel areas belong to the first company, and if the fourth personnel area belongs to the second company, you could maintain the Legal person field as follows:
Personnel area Legal person 0001 0011 0002 0011 0003 0011 0004 0012
Requirements
You have defined your personnel areas and subareas.
Determine which personnel areas belong to which legally independent companies.
Standard settings
In the standard system, personnel areas are delivered with legal person 0011.
Activities
Establish which company each personnel area is assigned to. In the Legal person field, enter a sequence of characters for each company that constitutes an independent entity in the legal sense.
