You can activate the calculation of withholding tax calculation fees for any payroll period by defining the start date as the first of the month.
Standard settings
January 01 2001 is the start date in the standard system.
Recommendation
- For customers starting productive work with Release 4.6 or above:
If your productive start is after January 01 2001, the withholding tax calculation fee is calculated automatically, thus making further entries unnecessary.
- For customers upgrading from Release 4.0 or 4.5 to Release 4.6 or above:
Select the first of the month of the first payroll period after the release upgrade as the start date.
- For customers upgrading from a Release earlier than 4.0 to Release 4.6 or above:
The start date for calculating the withholding tax fee must not be earlier than the start of the new withholding tax calculation, which merely lists monthly values in Withholding Tax wage type /310.
You must therefore select the date of the changeover to the new withholding tax calculation as the start date for the calculation of withholding tax fees.
