In this step, you set up the part of system that copies the technical wage types from the preliminary settlement.
You can also define how these wage types are to be copied from the preliminary settlement, that is, the format. This is controlled by the processing classes 06 (Import wage types from the old wage account in LRT), and 29 (Copy LRT wage type to IT).
Note that you must copy a wage type to the LRT before you can use it in the current payroll period, (that is, before it can be copied to the IT). This means one of the specifications for processing class 29 (for example, 2 - wage type is copied to a new wage type) must preceed one of the corresponding specifications for processing class 06 (for example, 1 - Copy from preliminary settlement).
Activities
To copy, check, and, if necessary, to change the wage types used in this step, proceed as follows:
Select a wage type and choose Detail.
Specify a new validity period (if necessary).
Define the specifications for processing classes 06 and 29. Note the procedure described above for these processing classes.
Further notes
The logical view that is linked to this step is called 02_LR001. For more information on maintaining wage types using logical views, see the section "Environment for wage type maintenance" under "Basic settings" in this implementation guide.
