You can define a default value for the rules for determining the cost-of-living allowance (COLA) level and for the control of the ready for input status of the COLA level when creating a new infotype record Cost-of-living allowance/Office (0511).

Example

  • The city of residence and employment location rule should apply to all employees. This is in accordance with the standard setting. When creating a new infotype record Ortszuschlag/Amt (0511) the COLA rule field is filled with the default value CE, which represents the city of residence and employment location. At the same time, the employment location field is set to display. It is therefore no longer ready for entry. After entering the city of residence and employment location, the maximum of both COLA levels is displayed in the cost-of-living level.

Standard settings

The decision tree for the CP511 characteristic is defined in such a way that during the creating of an Infotype record the R/3-System proposed the city of residence and employment location rule.

Adjust the CP511 characteristic to your needs. Please note the documentation regarding the CP511 characteristic.
