You maintain the sick pay allowance added to the hourly rate of the cost-of-living allowance in this step.
There is no entitlement to wage payments on the part of the employer for hourly wage earners in the event of abscences due to illness. Instead, they receive a sick pay allowance added to the cost-of-living allowance.
The sick pay allowance is defined as a percentage of the hourly rate of the cost-of-living allowance in which the percentage rate can also be dependent on the annual leave entitlement of the employee. Leave entitlement is determined according to the LVTYP and LVNUM characteristics.
In general, the vacations days in the Leave entitlement field are considered the upper limit, that is a percentage rate is valid for an employee if his/her leave entitlement is less or equal to the defined upper limit. If several entries exist, the system uses the one that has the smallest leave entitlement value.
Examples
An employee has a leave entitlement of 20 days. There are two percentage rates defined, one of 5% for a leave entitlement less or equal to 20 days and one of 10% for a leave entitlement less or equal to 23 days. The 5% sick pay allowance applies for this employee.
If a percentage rate is to be independent of leave entitlement, enter the value 999,99 (maximum upper limit).
