In this step you define how messages regarding the defined priorities are dealt with. This gives you the option to specify certain system messages that then appear in response to certain user activities during selection of a travel service.
With message treatment you control compliance with enterprise-specific trip rules during booking of travel services.
Example
You have made the following entries:
- Control variant for Travel Planning:
"_" (Standard user) - Top priority:
1 - Selected priority:
3 (No priority) - Subsequent activity:
Reason (free text) - Text:
"Please give your reasons for not complying with trip rules"
In an availability query travel services with the priorities "1" and "F" are displayed and others.
If the employee (control variant "_") chooses a travel service that is stored in the travel profile as "Not allowed", a text editor appears requesting reasons for the selection.

- Choose New entries.
- Choose a control variant for which the specification of the following settings is to apply.
- Specify a combination of priorities for which the relevant system response is to take place.
- Choose a system response.
- Specify a text that is to appear as a message in the system response.
Further notes
The maintenance view in Customizing is language-dependent. Make sure that any necessary translations are done.
