Use

You use this activity to assign the class rules for rail travel in connection with the validity of the corresponding train classes.

You can then use activity Assign Train Evaluation Criteria to assign the corresponding class rule to a rail-specific rule.

If you use class rules for the train in connection with a rail booking portal, note that the travel profile and thus the class rules can only be checked after you have returned to the travel plan from the portal.
This means that travelers whose class rule specifies that they can only book second class can still book first class but must give reasons for this when they return to the travel plan.

Requirements

You have defined the class rules for train travel.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries
  2. Select one of the class rules that you have already defined for train travel.
  3. Specify the minimum time from which the class rule is valid.
  4. Select the class to be assigned.

Example

Say you want to allow travelers completing train journeys of more than three hours to use first class. To do this you would make the following settings:

  • Select a class rule:
    ZEITABH (for example)
  • Minimum trip duration in hours:
    03:00:00
  • Class:
    1
