In the following IMG activities you make settings for flight routes. These settings must then also be entered under Define Airfare Rates and/or Define Airfare Discounts so that the system reads them during price queries.
The Routing function allows you to define certain routes to which an enterprise-specific airfare rate or discount applies.
Composition of a Routing
A routing consists of individual routes. You can define a routing variant by configuring different alternative routings for which same negotiated rate or discount applies.
A route can be a direct route (nonstop flight) or be made up of different route segments (transit flight). Route segments describe for example the legs of a flight such as start - stopover, stopover - stopover or stopover - destination.
You make these setting in Customizing for Travel Planning under Flight Routes.
Determinants of a Route Segment
- Start location
- Airline provider
- Booking code
- Destination location
You can assign several entries to these determinants for each route segment. You will find the required data in the collective agreement.
