Use
In this activity you specify how reservation systems that are connected to Travel Planning through direct interfaces by means of SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) are used. The configuration is separate for each sales office determination and travel service category.
When an entry for a travel service category for a sales office determination has been maintained, reservation processes will connect to a direct provider through the interface provided by XI as the integration broker instead of (or in addition to) the connection to a GDS. You can influence how the reservation system is selected with the BAdI FITP_TRAVEL_PLANNING, method CUSTOMIZE_CATEGORY_RES_SYSTEM.
In the current release, only XI direct interfaces for flights (low-cost carriers), hotels, and the Deutsche Bahn Corporate Portal BIBE (results interface) are provided. Entries for other travel service categories will be ignored.
Requirements
Configure an XI system or the connection to its Integration Server.
You have defined the reservation system connected through XI in the activity Define Reservation Systems.
