In this step you assign certain vehicle characterstics to car classes. You can thus control exactly the combinations of the following factors that a certain car rental class should have:

  • Vehicle class (e.g. upper)
    The vehicle classes are based on the usual industrial standards.
  • Vehicle type (e.g. four-door)
    The vehicle types are based on the usual industrial standards.
  • Transmission (manual shift or automatic)
  • Air-conditioning (with or without air-conditioning)

Several feature combinations can be assigned per car rental class.

Via Assignment of car rental classes to class rules you can then control which vehicle an employee can book on the basis of his personal travel profile.

Requirements

You have defined car rental classes.

Standard settings

In the standard system SAP supplies all vehicle types and classes that are defined in the connected reservation system.

Activities

  1. ChooseNew entries. The detail view appears.
  2. Choose one of the defined car rental classes.
  3. Enter the relevant characteristics for the features:
    • Vehicle class
    • Vehicle type
    • Transmission
    • Air-conditioning
