In this step, you define the hotel rates available in the connected reservation AMADEUS. Usually, there are different rates for different target groups. The accommodations providers can store these rates in the reservation system.

The following, generally valid hotel rates are currently available in the reservation system AMADEUS:

  • CON (Conventional rate)
  • COR (Company rate)
  • FAM (Family rate)
  • GOV (Statutory rate)
  • MIL (Military rate)
  • PKG (Package rate)
  • PRO (Promotion rate)
  • RAC (Standard rate)
  • SRS (Senior citizen rate)
  • STP (Stopover rate)
  • TUR (Tourist rate)
  • TVL (Rate for travel industry)
  • WKD (Weekend rate)

In addition to defining generally valid rates, you can also maintain the rates especially negotiated for your company and specify their characteristics in SAP Travel Planning in the following step:

Requirements

If you want to maintain special rates valid for your company in this step, they must be stored in the reservation system AMADEUS first and made available to you.

This is the prerequisite for your enterprise-specific hotel rates to be taken into account during an availability query or posting of hotel services in SAP Travel Planning.

Standard settings

The generally valid hotel rates are correctly maintained in the standard system.

Recommendation

You should neither change nor delete the rate codes, since error messages can appear during an availability query if an entry is missing. In this case it is then no longer possible to display the relevant travel services.

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter the relevant code for the hotel rate to be defined (either general rate or enterprise-specific rate).
  3. Choose a long text for the hotel rate to be defined (freely definable).

Further notes

The maintenance view in Customizing is language-dependent. Make sure that any necessary translations are done.
