In this step, you define the country-subdividing regions relevant for you for Travel Planning. Country-subdividing regions are SAP-specific and, unlike IATA locations, freely definable.

Country-subdividing regions are used as delimitation criteria for the specification of trip rules for the relevant travel service categories.

To define country-subdividing regions yourself, in this activity you can assign existing IATA regions to the regions you have newly defined. To make the region you have created larger than the IATA region, you must assign corresponding IATA locations to the enterprise-specific region in the following section Define assignment of IATA locations to country-subdividing regions.

In the standard system, federal states of following countries are supplied:

  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • USA

Recommendation

Activities

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Define a code for the country-subdividing region.
  3. Specify a long text for the country-subdividing region.
  4. Assign the country-subdividing region to the relevant country.

Further notes

The maintenance view in Customizing is language-dependent. Make sure that any necessary translations are done.
