In this step, you define the IATA locations. IATA locations make up the basis for flight, hotel, and car rental reservations and represent the smallest geographical unit in SAP Travel Planning.

Recommendation
You should not make any changes to the entries, because the IATA location-dependent activities (for example, availability queries for hotels in a specific destination area) are then no longer possible. Maintenance could become necessary if the International Air Transport Association (IATA) defines new locations or changes the existing codes for certain locations.
Activities
- Choose New entries and enter the code specified by the IATA for the corresponding location.
- Enter the name and the additional description for the corresponding IATA location.
Further notes
The maintenance view in Customizing is language-dependent. Make sure that any necessary translations are done.
