In this step you define the sales offices relevant for the Travel Planning process (such as for issuing tickets) using the office IDs defined by the reservation system. Sales offices can be travel agencies, sales offices of travel service providers (such as airlines) or travel centers (such as in banks or sweepstakes/lottery agencies).
Example
FRALH0001 (Office ID):
- FRA: IATA location (in this case: Frankfurt)
- LH: Provider ID (in this case: Lufthansa)
- 0: Provider category (in this case: 'system user')
- 001: Sequential number
Requirements
The sales offices defined in this IMG activity must use the appropriate reservation system to be able to access bookings in SAP Travel Planning (for example, to change bookings or issue tickets).
Activities
- Choose New Entries and enter the office ID assigned by the reservation system.
- Enter the relevant name and booking ID (IATA number).
Further notes
The maintenance view in Customizing is language-dependent. Make sure that the necessary translations are obtained.
