In this activity you define strategies to control how hotel rates are displayed in the room list that appears after an availability query.
You define these strategies by assigning specific hotel rates (both public and corporate rates) to a certain control variant for Travel Planning. This enables you to have the members of a certain control variant only see the rates that you have assigned in this step.
You can also have a certain rate only be shown for specific hotel chains or hotels in certain locations for members of a user group. This can also apply to hotels from the hotel catalog. If individual hotels are specified, they must belong to a hotel chain.
If you do not assign a hotel rate to a control variant, the available rooms for all rates in the reservation system are displayed.

Requirements
You have defined groups for controlling Travel Travel Planning and defined hotel rates. The generally valid hotel rates are correctly defined in the standard system. You can create custom rates in the section Define Enterprise-Specific Hotel Rates.

Activities
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter a start and end data. You can restrict more than one time period.
- Specify a control variant.
- Choose the hotel rate you want to assign to the control variant.
Assignment of a hotel chain or an individual hotel is optional.
