The online booking functions in Travel Planning are integrated with external reservation systems that communicate with the service providers. This integration enables SAP users to access the following functions:
- Check availability of travel services
- Additional information about selected travel services
- Price information
- Processing of reservations by the respective provider
- Synchronization of SAP Travel Planning data if booking changes have been made in the external reservation system
You can use the following reservation systems, for example:
- AMADEUS
- Galileo
- HRS
- BIBE
To be able to carry out online booking using one of these reservation systems, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:
- Your company must have signed an agreement with the reservation system for the use of the interface and have a user ID for the system.
- A network connection to the computer center of the reservation system must have been set up.
- The identification code for your company assigned by the reservation system must be entered in Customizing (see the IMG activities in Customizing for Travel Planning under Master Data -> Technical Control Parameters for Travel Planning -> Sales Offices)

Requirements
Standard settings
In the standard SAP system, the Customizing settings for Travel Planning are configured for connection to the above reservation systems. This includes both the technical definition of the reservation systems and the tables for the geographical situation and travel service providers. These tables contain codes for the different reservation systems.
