In this step, you define the screen layout of the master record screens for appropriation request. The screen layout control you define is valid for the whole client.
You can define modifiable and influencing fields in each screen layout control:
- For the modifiable fields, you use an indicator to specify how the individual fields are shown on the screen:
- The field is ready for input (standard setting)
- The field requires input (required entry)
- The field is displayed only
- The field is invisible (suppressed)
- The field is highlighted
- For the influencing fields, you determine how the modifiable field is shown on the screen based on a given value. (For example, you can specify that the replacing asset is a required entry field for a given appropriation request type.)
Notes
- You can transport the settings for the field selection, and they are not changed during upgrades and new releases.
- Changing an influencing field can make a modifiable field into a required field. If this happens, the system does not check if this field is completed in all objects that already existed.
- You cannot change required fields that are designated as such by the application.
- The modifiable and influencing fields are hard coded for each screen group. You cannot add to them.
- You can display the technical names of the fields using the menu option Edit -> Other view.
Standard settings
SAP does not provide standard settings for the field selection.
