In this section you proccess the third step for the rules.

The rules are defined for a message type.

The rule is assigned to the segment type for each sending and receiving system.

Example

For the message type MATMAS, assign, for example, rule E1MARRG to the segment type E1MARAM with the sending and receiving system.

Requirements

The rules must have been created and defined in the first two steps.

Activities

  1. Execute the function. Enter the message type which the rule is to be assigned to.
  2. Enter the sending and receiving system with the partner type. The partner type is LS in almost all business processes.
  3. Enter the segment type and the rule defined for it.
  4. Repeat steps two and three for all further rules.
  5. Save your assignments.
