In this step, you activate/deactivate the defined change pointers.

Example

The writing of change pointers can be deactivated for a particular field. If this field is changed in master data maintenance, change pointers are not written and an IDoc is therefore not created.

Requirements

For these settings to be effecting, the change pointer itself must be activated generally sein.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the writing of change pointers is active for all fields.

Activities

  1. Execute the function.
  2. Maintain the active status.
  3. Save your entries.

Further notes

Usually you should not change anything. If you have created your own message types, you must activate the individual fields here.
