Use
In this IMG activity, you can specify default storage locations for goods movement postings related to specific logistical follow-up activities in Advanced Returns Management.
This IMG activity extends the settings made for picking location determination (see Determine Picking Location).
You make additional settings for goods movement postings related to logistical follow-up activities in IMG activity Define Stock Types for Stock Transfers.
Requirements
You have made the necessary settings for the picking location determination.
You have assigned the storage location determination rule MSRE to the relevant delivery types - i.e. delivery types that are used in Advanced Returns Management for returns deliveries in case of customer returns and inbound deliveries in case of returns stock transfers - in the IMG activity Define Rules for Picking Location Determination.
Standard settings
If you do not specify a storage location for the specific logistical follow-up activities mentioned here, the system uses the settings that you made for picking location determination.
Activities
- Specify the storage location that is used for the goods receipt of returned materials in Advanced Returns Management. This storage location is related to all logistical follow-up activities except the specific logistical follow-up activities mentioned below.
- Specify the storage location that is used when you specify the logistical follow-up activity Immediately Move to Free Available Stock or Immediately Move to Scrap in a returns order item. This storage location must not be warehouse managed.
- Specify the storage location that is used when you specify the logistical follow-up activity Transfer to Free Available Stock in the Material Inspection in Warehouse transaction.
- Specify the storage location that is used when you specify the logistical follow-up activity Immediately Move to Specified Stock in a returns order item.
Note
If you do not specify a storage location for the specific logistical follow-up activities in step two to four, the system uses the settings that you made for picking location determination and not the storage location you specified for the goods receipts of returned materials in the first step.
