Use

In this step, you maintain the school types - used in subtype Child of infotype Information on Dependants (0704) - the dependant's child or children is/are going to attend during the global assignment in case the employee has decided to be accompanied by his or her child(ren).

Requirements

Maintain the following tables:

  • Educational establishment designation type (T517T)
    Enables you to specify the type of educational institution the global employee's child(dren) is or are going to attend.
  • Final certificates (T519T)
    Enables you to specify the type of leaving certificate (high school diploma, university degree) the global employee's child(dren) is or are going to acquire at the above-mentioned institution.

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with the most common school types, as described below:

  • Primary school
  • Secondary school
  • Grade school
  • Junior high school
  • High school
  • University

However, if you want to add your own ones to meet your country-specific needs, you must maintain the tables mentioned under the Preconditions section.

Activities

To create a new school type:

  1. Click New entries.
  2. Enter the type of educational institution and the corresponding certificate. Note that the system always checks the entry in the Certificate field against the specified school type.
  3. Save your entries.

Recommendation

Make a list of all the applicable school types on a case-to-case basis.
