In this step, you split countries according to region with regard to global assignments. By doing so, you can define COLI factors on a region-to-region and/or on a country-to-country basis in the activity Define COLI Providers.

Example

The entries you define in this activity are fully customizable and do not necessarily have to correspond to the official regions. You could for example define the following combinations:

  • Germany / Northern Germany - Canada / Northwest Canada,
  • Germany / Rhein-Neckar Kreis - USA / Bay Area.

Requirements

No preliminary steps required.

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with a standard country table. It is up to you, however, to decide which regions are relevant or not for your company.

Recommendation

Make a list of all the applicable regions within your company.

Activities

To create a new region:

  1. Select a country.
  2. In the dialog structure, double-click Regions within a country.
  3. Enter a 2-character code and a description.
  4. Save your entries.
  5. Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any other regions.
