In this step, you maintain the factoring rules used in evaluation method MULT for the CPIs it is assigned to. Rules enable you to specify how a base compensation package item is built up.

Example

To view how a Cost of Living Allowance is calculated, click Factoring Rules:

Net spendable in host multiplied by the COLI factor you have defined in the activity Define Cost of Living Providers (for example 4500 USD * 1,3).

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with a set of standard base CPIs linked to the applicable calculation rules. You can copy existing entries or create new ones to meet your company-specific needs.

Recommendation

Make a list of all the customer-specific CPI calculation rules within your company.

Activities

  1. Click New entries.
  2. Select a base CPI and delimit it.
  3. Select the applicable evaluation method and the frequency of payment.
  4. Save your entries.
  5. In the dialog structure, double-click Factoring Rules.
  6. Select the applicable CPI and delimit it.
  7. Select the applicable factor.
  8. Save your entries.
