In this step, you maintain the family statuses used in infotype Global Assignment Details (0710), which enables you to store generic global assignment information. The family status determines whether the global employee's dependant(s) are allowed to join him/her according to the company transfer policy. In addition, this information is relevant for the preparation of the compensation package stored in infotype Compensation Package Offer (0706). It reminds the processor that he/she may have to include special allowances for housing or schooling, depending on the country and on the company transfer policy.

This family status is exclusively used for customizing purposes and should not be renamed within the customer name range!
