Use
In this step, you define calculation factors - used in the definition of compensation package items - based on information stored in the infotypes relevant for the Management of Global Employees component (PA-GE), such as the infotypes Compensation Package Offer (0706) or Activation Details (0707).
To define a calculation factor, the following information is required:
- Infotype number,
- Subtype number,
- Component (that is, the technical name of the relevant field).
Requirements
Standard settings
The SAP system is shipped with sample entries that you can change to meet your customer-specific needs.
Activities
- Click New entries.
- Enter a 2-character code and a description.
- Enter the relevant infotype and subtype numbers.
- Enter the technical name of the field required to perform the operation.
- Save your entries.
Example
You could define a method to calculate a cost-of-living allowance based on the factor you have specified in the relevant field (COL_INDEX) of infotype Compensation Package Offer (0706), subtype Host.
Likewise, you could define a method based on the percentage you have specified in the relevant field (CURR_PRCNT) of infotype Activation Details (0707) to determine the percentage of the base salary that is paid in the strong currency (applies to financially volatile countries).
