Use
In this Customizing activity, you can specify production storage locations for a Manufacturing Execution system (MES).
If a storage location within a plant is flagged as a production storage location in the MES, the system carries out checks in respect of goods movements involving this storage location and issues message CO_MES_INT046 in the event of an error. Furthermore, this flag prevents the MES from being informed of a goods movement that it initiated itself.
Production storage locations are always created for a plant.
Requirements
You have integrated the inventory management area of your MES with ERP via the data replication framework and the message INVCON.
Standard settings
Activities
Assign the corresponding business system from the replication model to the production storage locations that are administered by the MES.
If applicable, choose the type of inventory management in order to activate corresponding checks during goods movements for this storage location.
