The Business Add-In (BAdI) ME_COMMITMENT_RETURN enables you to use the commitments functionality for purchasing orders Return Item in order to return values to the budget.
In purchasing, a Return Item (RI) is used with the purpose of return goods to a vendor and as consequence a correction to a goods receipt is posted (movement type 161) and a credit memo generated by the vendor.
On this BADI a implementaion method can be created in order to activate this functionality. On this method, in order to determine whether the commitments should be or not handled for return items, it's possible to use the information from a purchasing header document header (EKKO), like the vendor or company code. It's also possible to check the item details (EKPO) like the material or order unit or the account information (EKKN) assigned to the return item.
Requirements
The purchasing order item needs to have the Return indicator set (EKPO-RETPO).
Standard settings
- In the standard system, the Business Add-In is not active.
- The BAdI can be used multiple times
