In this IMG activity, you define material inflation classes for each of your valuation areas.

Activities

For each material inflation class, you must specify:

1. Revaluation method
2. Inflation index
3. Time base and exposure to inflation variant (TBE variant)
4. Price tolerance

Once you have defined material inflation classes, you assign them to materials that are relevant to replacement cost valuation in the material master records.

You can also assign any of these properties directly to a material master record if you need to adjust a given material differently from how revaluation is defined in the material's inflation class. In this case, the values entered in the material master record override those in the material's inflation class when you run the replacement-cost valuation reports.
