Use

In this Customizing activity, you assign map products to your Visual Business applications. The system uses this setting to determine the map products with which the application runs. You can assign several map products to each application. You have to specify a default map product by selecting the corresponding checkbox.

Requirements

Standard settings

Usually, the preferred map products are preassigned to your Visual Business applications. If necessary, you can change the presettings by changing the default map product or deleting a map product assignment you do not require.

Activities

You execute the following steps to assign a map product to a Visual Business application:

  1. Choose the Insert Row icon to add a row to the table.
  2. In column Application choose the value help to select the required Visual Business application.
  3. In column Map Product ID choose the value help to select the required map product.
  4. In column Default Map Product select the checkbox to specify the selected map product as the default map product for the corresponding Visual Business application.
  5. In column Authentication choose the Edit button to display the entry's detail view and make the required entries:
    • Correction of the map product URL, if necessary
      • The correct map product URL ensures access to the corresponding map. The license agreement with your map provider contains the valid URL.
    • Credentials for map access
      • These credentials are valid for all Visual Business users of the corresponding application.
    • Proxy settings for authentication at the proxy server of your company network
      • These settings determine the communiction with the proxy server for the selected application/map assignment. You have the following options:

  1. None: The selected application does not need a certain proxy server. This is the default setting.
  2. Default: The selected application uses the proxy settings provided in the Customizing activity Maintain Default Proxy Settings for all map products assigned to this application.
  3. Custom: You specify separate proxy settings for the selected application/map assignment.

  1. Choose the Transport icon to transport the settings to your system landscape. Note that for security reasons sensitive authentication data such as passwords are not transported.
