You use this activity to schedule the report RSTIRIDC as a daily background process.

Use

The report RSTIRIDX starts the indexing and de-indexing processes for documents that have already been marked accordingly, and logs indexing errors in the productive system.

The selected receiver can view the contents of the report using transaction SO01.

If an error occurs, check the following data:

  • Error in the Application protocol

    To get detailed information on errors, enter the name SDOK as an object and the name Indexing as a sub-object. Then choose Execute.

  • Error in KPro IMS Monitoring.

Requirements

To schedule a report, you need Batch Administrator authorization for the authorization object Batch Processing.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Execute the activity.

    This takes you to the screen Define job.

  2. Make the following entries:
    1. In the field Job name, enter INDEXING.
    2. Choose Job class B.
    3. In the field Target, enter the server name of the computer on which the background process will be executed.
  3. Choose Spool list receiver.
  4. Make the following entries in the popup Receiver:
    1. In the field Receiver,enter the name of the receiver.
    2. Select the appropriate general attributes.
    3. Choose Transfer.

      This takes you back to the entry screen Define job.

  5. Choose Start condition.

    This takes you to the screen Start time values.

    1. Choose Date/time.
    2. Enter the desired date and time.
    3. Check the option Execute job periodically.
    4. Choose Period values.
    5. Choose Daily.
    6. Choose Save.
      7. This takes you back to the screen Start time values.
    7. Choose Save.
      8. This takes you back to the screen Define job.
  6. Choose Step.
  7. Choose ABAP program.
  8. In the area ABAP program, enter the name RSTIRIDX in the field Name.
  9. Choose Print options.
  10. Choose Properties.
  11. Deactivate the option Output immediately.
  12. Choose Save.

    You receive a message saying that your job was successfully saved and has status "Released".
